Well, I went to the AFA store, and this is the picture that now accompanies the ad! I guess they got enough complaints! Hahahahahahaha!!!

I decided to have some fun with this by writing to the AFA and bringing the photo to their attention. Here is what I wrote:

I need you to pay attention to the image of the Christmas Cross for sale at your store.

This is it's location on your site:
https://store.afa.net/pc-10000310-11-christmas-cross.aspx

Did it occur to anyone that this cross appears, because of the color and brightness saturation of the photo, appears to be a "burning cross", which is a well-known emblem of the Ku Klux Klan?

To avoid further ridicule on the web for this product, I suggest a simple edit of the photograph in photoshop. The color and brightness saturation levels need to be adjusted until it is obvious from looking at it that the cross made up of hundreds of tiny lights. With the current levels, the lights on the cross are indistinguishable from flames, which many people have apty pointed out can reflect badly on your organization on many different levels.

If you have a staff artist who uses photoshop or similar software to edit pictures on your website, they will understand what has to be done to make the photo look less like an ad for white-supremacist products.

Thank You!

To be honest with you, after looking at some of the related and linked sites for these types of groups, I would not be surprised if it was actually really a KKK cross!

What?! You wrote to these people and told them the problem was "light saturation?" NO! In real life, this would LOOK LIKE A FLAMING CROSS! It's not a problem with the photo. It's a problem with the idea. Do not try to help them! They are idiots in any case and the idea of this product is pretty close to the "original": proclaim status as above others.

I thought the original was spectacular - I don't see why you had to go and spoil it.

Now I don't want one anymore.

0h, you and your feelthy blog! My verification word is---I kid you not - prodicks!

Oh, come on! I was playing with them! What's the fun of poking fun at online weirdos if you can't play head games with them? :)
